Rule #14

When stopped at a light – always assume traffic coming up behind you doesn’t see you.  Keep your bike in neutral to rest your hands if you’re absolutely safe from approaching vehicles, but if you are exposed, keep in first gear and be ready to jet to the left or right to avoid being run over by an inattentive driver.
